ImageReady…. Set…. Go!

When you make a conscious effort to move out of one thing, and into another completely different thing, stuff starts to “happen.”

All I did was say to myself, “Self, just leap, and the net will appear.”

You wouldn’t believe what “Self” said in reply.

There’s something to be said for INTENTION and COMMITMENT.  I have to quote the beloved William Hutchison Murray here, because this just keeps coming back to me:

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.”

― William Hutchison Murray

Things start to happen when we start believing, committing, initiating the things that we want to accomplish.  Yes, I will admit, this has much to do with my first post about “firsts”, because that is where I was, and still am.  I am initiating projects, events, actions, that I never dreamed I would be initiating.  There is a definite serendipity in the air, as things start to align, people seem to appear, and opportunities seem to materialize right in front of my eyes and, the beauty of it is, I’m actually seeing it.  I’m actually feeling the genius, power, and magic in it.

Could this be my official launch? Absolutely.

What I do know, however, is that if I did not act in the first place, none of this would be happening.

One of my favourite Bible scriptures is this: “A (wo)man makes his(her) plans, but the Lord directs his(her) steps.”  If we are not walking, moving, initiating, there are no steps to direct. Change… in… motion.

Make your plans, and carry them out.  Commit to them.  Decide NOW that THIS is what you want.  The rest becomes your mystery and your adventure.  Leap, and watch the net appear.
